6/27/07: the great adventure at Great Adventure!!

Looking around at everything from the double stroller:

We arrive at Wiggles World, the main reason for our excursion:

That mighty vessel, SS Feathersword.

Even in the incredible heat, Cara manages a brief spurt of running. Soon after we left, the ship was closed down--it was too hot!

Riding the tea cups. Cara was not particularly enthused, but she didn't wriggle nearly as much as PJ! This was our only real "ride" of the day.

Little Casey peeks between the seats at the live Wiggles show.

PJ had a lot of fun at the Wiggles show. Here is some evidence of his enjoyment.

Cara (sporting a bruised lip from a previous day's fall) was very tired and hot:

But she managed to enjoy herself and do some dancing as well; here she is "moving her arms like Henry [the Octopus]."

For your enjoyment, click on the links below to view animated gifs of PJ and Cara dancing to the Wiggles!

This is what we were looking at:

Everyone enjoying a break in the shade for Italian ices.

Casey in particular enjoyed her Italian ice.

Cara liked hers, too.

Here's the little girl, with shades on, enjoying what was probably her favorite part of Great Adventure: a small slide shaped like an elephant.

With great trepidation, we enter the kiddie water park.

We did not all enjoy it as much as we could have, but we managed to get soaked nonetheless.

PJ was the least excited member of our party.

Here are the kids, tired after their day of fun, getting ready to return to the car (after one more trip to the elephant slide). They were both very happy to have their Wiggles wands.

To make this photos page particularly lengthy, I will also include the family trip to the Philadelphia Zoo on 7/1/07. The photos begin after Cara's face painting, so she is a beautiful butterfly in every shot:

Climbing on a dinosaur at the treehouse:

Cara takes time out to visit her old friend the caterpillar.

Her other old friend, the beaver dam slide:

Mommy and girl in the flower; compare with a similar, much earlier photo (taken almost a year ago) near the bottom of this page.

Soon after the above shot, Cara politely asked her Mommy to "get out" so that she could be by herself in the flower.

Pretending to be a baby bee:

The obligatory head-through-the-hole shot:

After a nice, long day at the zoo:
