Cara, month 5 (part 2)

On 8/28/05, we decided to capture Cara at play with her sea friends, Marty the Seahorse and Leroy the Crab (named by me--you may also notice Sammy the Turtle, their compatriot, in the penultimate shot). Cara plays with them when she is being changed, and sometimes just for fun we put her up there. Evie came back on 8/29/05 to shoot the last two photos in this set. Think 8 pictures is too much? Just be glad we painstakingly pared the number down to 8 from the original 26!

On 8/30/05, baby is asleep in her car seat (which she's beginning to get almost too big for):

Later on the same day, baby gets her first taste of bananas while Daddy gets his first chance to serve solid food; we both had a ball.

On 9/1/05, Cara's grandparents saw her again after a long babyless vacation, and her grandpa snapped these shots of the cheerful reunion:

Later on that same day (I think), baby frolics in her room, displaying her foot-grabbing ability:

Cara is a big, big fan of her caterpillar toy lately--this is a Baby Einstein product. The next day, 9/2/05, Mommy got some more good pictures, making this one of our most photographic months so far!
